What you will learn - and why
Attendees learn how to enter all service order information including requested
work, work performed, and time logs. Explanations and examples are provided
for the scheduling and dispatching of technicians, as well as the printing of service
orders for a specific technician. Instruction is also given on how to process RMAs to vendors and inventory exchanges with the customer.
Attendees completing this course should be able to create a service order,
enter the required service order information, print a service order, prepare
the order for billing, and close out the order.

Assignment: Using the
sample database, enter a service
order, select a serialized item from customer inventory to service, assign
a technician to the service order, print the service order, and use the
service order list view to print a batch of service orders.

Assignment: Using the
sample database and the previously created
service order, enter a few time logs, enter symptoms & resolutions,
enter a few parts & labor items used to complete the service order,
and schedule a task for the assigned technician. Use the Dispatch Board
to assign the service order to a different technician. For one of the items
being serviced, perform an RMA and print the RMA packing slip. Close out
the RMA. For one of the items under Parts & Labor Used, perform an exchange
of customer inventory with this new item.
