What is Tigerpaw University?

Tigerpaw University was established to address the training requirements of your various staff positions as they relate to the implementation and ongoing utilization of Tigerpaw CRM+. Tigerpaw University focuses on the individual and his or her responsibilities within your organization. Tigerpaw University should be used in conjunction with the other learning aids available (videos and documentation). Tigerpaw University is available to Tigerpaw customers who have purchased this level of support.

How long does it take to learn and implement Tigerpaw software?

Tigerpaw recognizes that new software takes time to learn and implement, and that customer staff members already have a full-time job performing their duties. By enrolling your staff in Tigerpaw University, you will be committing two hours per week for instruction and another two to four hours per week for implementation. The tracks and classes are designed so that a major business function can be implemented in four to six weeks, if the time is allocated for training and implementation and if the staff member(s) view the classes, perform the assignments, attend the Question and Answer sessions, and implement the functions. Since classes are available on demand as videos, they can be viewed concurrently and hence multiple functions can be addressed simultaneously by different department managers.

What can I expect from each track?

Each track consists of one or more online, on-demand training classes that last roughly one hour each. Tracks are designed so that upon viewing (and re-viewing if necessary); completing all assignments; and attending the applicable Q&A sessions, the attendee should be able to implement that specific area of operations.

Each track typically covers relevant data entry, setup, on-screen data Inquiry, and reports.

How is class content delivered?

Recorded classes are available on demand as in-depth, instructor-led videos. Classes are accessed via My Tigerpaw, your client services navigation and management area on the Tigerpaw website.

Related Q&A sessions are held via GoToMeeting, an interactive online (internet) training facility. Each attendee signs in from his or her office workstation to the web session prior to class; calls a specific telephone number for teleconferencing; and then talks with an instructor via the telephone. The schedule for these Q&A sessions is available online via My Tigerpaw.

Additionally, one live Introduction to Tigerpaw class is held weekly.

Audience: Every new user of the software
Syllabus: Covers how to get started, frequently asked questions, how to get help, how to report problems, what's available at the Tigerpaw website, how to use the sample database, and more.
Duration : one session

Senior Management Courses

Class No. PRJMGR01 Managing Projects
Audience: Owners, general manager, project manager, president, CEO, CFO
Syllabus: Covers setting up a project, allocating costs to phases from quotes, scheduling people and resources, and tracking project progress and profitability.
Duration : two sessions.

Sales & Marketing Department Courses

Class No. SALMGR01 Managing the Sales Department
Audience: Sales manager, marketing manager, general manager
Syllabus: Covers sales rep setup, sales rep monitoring, key sales &
follow-up reports, opportunity management, quoting, activities,
process, workflow, Outlook synchronization, profile codes, emailing,
faxing, mail merge, and dial-out functions.
Duration: two sessions.

Class No. MARMGR01 Managing the Marketing Department
Audience: Marketing manager, sales manager, general manager
Syllabus: Covers marketing codes, reports, activities, Word
merge, emailing, and paths.
Duration: two sessions

Class No. SALREP01 Sales Rep User Training
Audience: Sales reps, sales manager
Syllabus: Covers daily operations and use of Tigerpaw for follow-up,
codification, opportunities, forecasting, quoting, scheduling activities,
and calendaring.
Duration: two sessions.

Customer Service Department Courses

Class No. SERMGR01 Managing the Service Department
Audience: Service manager, department managers
Syllabus: Covers daily operations of the service department; service
orders, technician scheduling, time logs, dispatching, using contracts,
and preparing service orders for invoicing.
Duration: three sessions.

Class No. SERREP01 Technician User Training
Audience: Customer service rep/technician
Syllabus: Covers entering a service order, recording parts & labor,
time logs, closing out a service order, and task scheduling.
Includes rep setup, navigation, Dispatch Board.
Duration: three sessions

Accounting & Inventory Control Courses

Class No. INVMGR01 Managing Inventory
Audience: Purchasing agent, service manager, general manager,
inventory manager
Syllabus: Covers creating inventory records (price book entries),
purchasing, receiving, debit memos, transfers, physical inventory, and
posting. Update import of price book items. Definition of item ID & part number.
Duration: four sessions.

Class No. ACCTNG01 Interfacing to Accounting and Invoicing
Audience: Receivables, payables clerk, CFO, accountant
Syllabus: Covers the setup required to interface to an external
accounts receivable and general ledger system;
approving invoices, posting, batch accounting, A/R and G/L file creation,
and importing into your accounting software.
Duration: two sessions.

Class No. CONMGR01 Managing Contracts
Audience: CFO, service manager, contracts manager
Syllabus: Covers eight contract types, plus templates, setup of new contracts,
performing service under contract, billing, invoicing, contract renewal,
and profitability analysis.
Duration: three sessions.

Administration

Class No. CLERFN01 Clerical Functions
Audience: Data entry personnel, processing personnel
Syllabus: Batch time log data entry, activity processing & fulfillment,
mail-merge, and audit log.
Duration: one session.

Class No. SYSADM01 System Administration
Audience: System administrator, system implementer, implementation manager,
department managers, owner, general manager
This is an accelerated course.
Syllabus: Covers every aspect of implementation including installation
of software, training considerations, options table and file setup, imports,
developing an implementation plan, security, and the Reports Explorer.
Duration: two sessions.
